The territory of Sassello is located in the middle of an area rich of naturalistic excellences but not only. Just a few kilometers from the airport and the port of Genoa, as well as from the port of Savona, from the village it is possible to reach the coast in a short time. Here you can admire the coastal beauties certified by the “Blue Flags”, an international recognition that is awarded every year in 49 European countries and not only by UNEP (United Nations Environment Program) and UNWTO (World Tourism Organization). In 2017 Liguria was the Italian region with the highest number of “Blue Flags” in Italy. Starting from Sassello and going up north instead you can relax in the SPA area of Acqui Terme. Already renowned at the time of the Romans, the city at the time was equipped with at least three SPA facilities, of which some remains survive today. On the border with Liguria but in Piemonte territory we find the two regions of Monferrato and Langhe, famous all over the world for their wines and culinary excellences.
